Outreach

At System Overload Robotics, outreach is at the heart of what we do. We believe in sharing our passion for STEM and robotics with our community to inspire the next generation of innovators. Through community events and partnerships, we engage with students of all ages to provide hands-on learning experiences and promote science, technology, engineering, and math. Our outreach efforts help build a stronger, more inclusive STEM community and encourage young people to explore the exciting possibilities of robotics. Robotics Workshop

September 13, 2025

Our team partnered with Edutine Reachout (www.edutine.com) to host our first robotics workshop! This workshop was a day long and provided middle schoolers hands on experience with First Lego League (FLL). Students also learned what FIRST is all about, the basic functions of a robot, how to use SpikePrime and EV3 kits, and even code missions. We are so grateful for all the support from our community and can't wait to host similar events in the future.

Overall, the event turned out to be a great success where we were able to educate several students through interactive hands on learning!

Livermore Reads
March 1, 2025

Our team participated in the Livermore Reads event, engaging with the community through fun and educational activities. We had mini-robots which young students could play around with, sparking their curiosity and excitement for learning. In addition, we had a dedicated booth where we introduced visitors to our team, shared information about our mission, and answered questions from attendees of all ages. The booth served as a great platform to connect with families and community members, highlighting the importance of literacy and learning.

Overall, the event was a wonderful opportunity for outreach, fostering community engagement, and inspiring the next generation of learners.

Innovation Fair
April 12, 2025

In April 2025, we returned to the Tri-Valley Innovation Fair alongside our friends from Team 6619 GravitechX. Visitors stopped by our booth to watch live robot demos, talk to our students, and get a behind the scenes look at how we design and build our robots. We also hosted hands-on activities, giving students the chance to try basic robotics concepts and learn how engineering and teamwork come together in FRC.

This Innovation Fair was a fantastic event, allowing us to engage directly with families, answer questions, and spark curiosity about robotics and STEM careers for the next generations.

Salud Y Sol

August 3, 2024

Our team participated in the Salud Y Sol event,  where we brought robotics to our community in order to bring STEM to a new audience. Our team set up a booth with interactive demonstrations, where attendees could see our robot in action and talk with team members about engineering, programming, and problem-solving. Younger participants especially enjoyed trying out our mini robots and learning how they work.

The event was a great way to celebrate health, culture, and technology together, and it gave us the chance to show how robotics can be fun, and inspiring to everyone.

Innovation Fair
April 13, 2024

Our team participated in the 2024 Tri-Valley Innovation Fair, sharing the excitement of STEM with students, families, and community members. At our booth, visitors had the chance to meet team members, learn about the FIRST Robotics Competition, and see our 2024 robot, Pringle, up close. We also brought our mini XRP robots, giving attendees a chance to drive them and play a mini-FRC game which was fun for many younger members.

Overall, the Innovation Fair was an amazing opportunity to inspire future engineers, promote STEM education, and connect with the Tri-Valley community in a fun and interactive way.
